Have you ever dreamed of communicating freely around the world and enjoying a barrier-free communication experience? Today, I will share with you my true journey from English novice to fluent, hoping to give you some inspiration and motivation.
A few years ago, like most English learners, I felt confused and powerless when facing this language. But I have a strong desire to see the wider world through English. This love and determination became a powerful motivation for me to learn English.
As I learn English, I gradually find that it brings me more job opportunities, connections, and adventures. My life in Bali is a vivid example. I was able to communicate with locals without any barriers and enjoy the joys of digital nomad life. This experience reinforced my belief that learning English is worthwhile.
In high school, I downloaded an English learning app that provided me with fun exercises and instant feedback. This allows me to continue to improve my English while enjoying learning.
In college, I actively sought out and participated in various English activities, such as English corners, speech contests, etc. These activities not only improved my speaking skills, but also allowed me to make friends from all over the world.
During my part-time job at the bar, I communicated with foreign customers, starting with simple conversations and gradually improving my speaking skills. This practical experience makes me more confident in communicating with foreigners.
I compete in English public speaking competitions and share my stories and perspectives through podcasts. These experiences not only honed my speaking skills, but also gave me a deeper understanding of English culture.
On the road to learning English, mentality is crucial. First of all, enjoy the process of learning rather than focusing too much on the results. Secondly, believe in yourself and take every step bravely. Finally, persevere and don’t give up because of temporary setbacks.
Looking back on my English learning journey, I deeply feel that as long as we have passion, determination and the right methods, anyone can go from being a novice in English to becoming fluent. I hope my story can give you some inspiration and motivation, making you more determined and confident in your pursuit of English fluency.
