Hello everyone, I am Zhang Xuan, the founder of Simple Resume. In the past four months, my small product - a resume generation tool focused on Internet practitioners - has experienced a jump from a monthly income of 2,000 yuan to 3,000 yuan. Today, I would like to share with you my independent development and operation experience during this period, hoping to bring you some inspiration.
Have you ever struggled with product growth? When revenue stagnates or even regresses, how do you adjust your strategy and find growth points again? Next, let me take you into my product world and discuss these issues together.
In the development process of my product, there was a very important turning point, which was the use of user reviews. At first, I didn’t realize the importance of user reviews and simply placed them below the homepage of the website. However, my product manager (my wife) came up with a bold idea: put user reviews in a more prominent position.
To verify the validity of this idea, we conducted an A/B test. The results were unexpected: placing user reviews in a prominent position resulted in significant increases in click-through rates, clicks, and payments. This discovery made me realize that we cannot copy foreign experience or do things dogmatically, but we must find the best way that suits us through practice.
In sharing this experience, what I want to tell you is: don’t be afraid to try and change. Sometimes, a small change can bring unexpected results. At the same time, we must also learn to listen to the voices of users. Their feedback can often point us in the right direction.
So, what do you think of user reviews? Are there any similar success stories in your product that you can share? Everyone is welcome to leave a message in the comment area to discuss and exchange and learn together.
Looking back on this journey from 2000 to 3000, I deeply feel the hardship and joy of self-media creation. Every attempt and change makes me more determined to walk on this path. I hope that today’s sharing can bring you some inspiration and encouragement. In the days to come, let us work together to create more valuable and in-depth content!
