Adventures and Explorations in the “Ghost Town” Rushan

Have you ever imagined what kind of adventures you would encounter while walking along the empty streets in Rushan, known as the "ghost town"? Today, let me show you the unique charm of this city and the extraordinary experiences I had here.

Rushan, a small coastal town, is famous for its numerous coastal villas and spacious, deserted roads. However, the impression it left on me was much more than that. Here, I once experienced a ridiculous misunderstanding, which also gave me a deeper understanding of this city.

It was a sunny afternoon, and I was looking for inspiration on the beach with my camera. Seagulls soar in the sky and the sight of them gathering at high tide is stunning. I was immersed in the fun of shooting until an embarrassing situation happened. While shooting by the river, I accidentally photographed a person going to the toilet. He turned back to me angrily and shouted, "What are you shooting for?" I realized my mistake and fled the scene in embarrassment.

This embarrassing experience did not dampen my enthusiasm for exploring Rushan. I decided to head to a higher spot to enjoy the panoramic view of the city. After some trekking, I arrived at the top of the mountain. However, what caught my eye was not the luxurious villa I imagined, but an unfinished small building. There were overgrown weeds all around, and there were many dead crabs drying out at the door, emitting an unpleasant smell. Although the scene here is a bit dilapidated, standing on the hillside overlooking the entire city, the feeling of climbing up and looking far away still makes people feel relaxed and happy.

In addition to these adventures, there are many places worth visiting in Rushan. Coastal roads are where I walk the most in my daily life. There are few cars and few people here, with the vast sea on one side and semi-abandoned facilities and weathered buildings on the other. This scene of coexistence of tranquility and desolation makes people feel like they are in an independent world.

Rongcheng City, which is adjacent to Yintan District, also attracted my attention. Most of the coastal areas here are brand-new villa areas, which are completely different from Rushan's style. The architectural style of the city reminds me of rural towns in American TV series, especially the rented houses, which are exactly the same. The flat beaches, seaside parks and loud signs are all deserted, as if the city is quietly waiting for something.

Looking back on this trip to Rushan, although I encountered some embarrassing and dilapidated scenes, it was these experiences that gave me a deeper understanding of this city. Rushan is not only a "ghost town", but also a place full of adventure and exploration. Here, you can feel the majesty and desolation of the sea, and you can also discover the unique scenery hidden in the corners. If you like to explore the unknown world, Rushan is definitely a place worth visiting.
