A Year in the Life of a Digital Nomad: Traveling to 11 Countries, Encountering Love and Beauty

At the end of 2023, I would like to use one word to summarize the journey of this year - that is "adventure". As a digital nomad, I have traveled to 11 countries and 14 cities. Every trip is a baptism of the soul, and every encounter is an adventure in life.

Bali: The starting point for digital nomads

In Bali in January, the sun, the beach, the waves, everything looks so beautiful. I began to try the life of a digital nomad, staying away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoying the slow pace of time. Here, I learned how to live in harmony with nature and how to find inner peace in solitude.

Longmu Island: Spiritual Awakening

In February, I went to Longmu Island. This was the first time I experienced a spiritual awakening. Although the bike accident made me painful and happy, but more importantly, I deeply felt the meaning of living in the present. I began to cherish every breath and every encounter, because I know that these are precious treasures in life.

Return and reunion

In April, I returned to China to attend a music festival. In Chengdu, I reunited with friends and family I hadn’t seen for half a year. At that moment, I felt the warmth of home and the power of family affection. This made me appreciate time with family and friends even more, and made me more determined to embark on the path of being a digital nomad.

European romance and adventure

In June, I flew to Amsterdam, and this city of freedom gave me endless surprises. I lay in the park and basked in the sun, communicated with the locals, and felt the different cultures and lifestyles. Then, I went to Paris again and reunited with the crash 6 years ago. We watched the avatar under the sunset at the loft bar and chatted about life and ideals. At that moment, I felt the sincere emotions between people, and I became more convinced that love and kindness are real.

The peace and beauty of Venice

In July, I came to Venice. This water city left a deep impression on me. I go to the library to work early in the morning every day, feed the seagulls in the square at noon, and sit by the canal in the evening to taste wine. This kind of life allows me to find the meaning of travel - not to pursue the scenery in front of me, but to enjoy every moment and cherish every encounter.

Madness and love in Bangkok

In August, I returned to Bangkok. Here, I reunited with my friends I hadn’t seen in 5 years. We drank together, had parties, and enjoyed the beauty of youth. What surprised me even more was that I quickly fell in love and enjoyed a sweet love for two months. This experience made me believe even more that love is real and it can make our lives better.

Peace and work in Vietnam

In September, I came to Coco, Vietnam. The beautiful scenery here makes me intoxicated, but what makes me unforgettable is that I worked seriously for a month. This experience made me understand better that working is not only for making a living, but also for realizing one’s own value and pursuit.

Return to Bali: Gratitude and Reunion

In December, I made an appointment with an old friend to reunite in Bali. We all expressed emotion that this year's journey has made us cherish the friendship between each other more, and also made us more convinced that every encounter in life is a precious experience. We sighed: "We are so blessed!"

Looking back on this year's journey, I deeply feel the meaning of travel - it is not just the scenery in front of me, but also the people I know, care about and love during the trip. Their presence makes me believe that the connection between people is real and that love and kindness are real. This belief will remain in my heart for a long time and become my firm belief in love and beauty. so blessed to have so many experiences and live such a life, I will always cherish this luck and happiness.
