AI assists programmers: revolutionary improvement in work efficiency

Are you still typing code by hand? Let me tell you, I have used AI programming, and my colleagues are dumbfounded. How much does AI help programmers’ work? In a word, it is a leap from a shotgun to a cannon, and from a bicycle to a motorcycle!

Some people may ask, if AI is so powerful, won’t programmers be unemployed? We will discuss this issue in the next video. Today, I will first share how I use AI in my work. I hope it can inspire others. You are also welcome to share your experience in the comment area.

First, I have to talk about myself. I am a digital humorist, a digital nomad who has achieved the freedom of living without having to work 9 to 5, earning 700 to 800 RMB per hour, and being able to travel around the world. Here, I share my experiences and reflections on the road to becoming a super individual.

Closer to home, let’s talk about the magical role of AI in work. In the first type of scenario, as long as you have good development skills, even if you have not learned a certain technology, you can use AI to complete tasks and make money to support your family. Take me for example. Although I don’t know anything about C language, sometimes my boss will arrange database-related work for me. In the past, I had to stay up late to study or give in and give up. What about now? ChatGPT helped me build a database from scratch, complete additions, deletions, modifications, and searches in one go. It can even handle nested queries and modification statements for multiple tables. My colleagues were stunned when they saw my code, thinking that I was a hidden C language master!

The second type of scenario is that all the dirty and repetitive work is handed over to AI. For example, when writing a software library, you need to write comments, documents, and test cases for function interfaces. In the past, these tasks were time-consuming and laborious. Now with ChatGPT, after implementing the function and throwing the code to it, a detailed document will be quickly generated. The document workload that originally took two or three days can now be easily completed!

The third type of scenario is English applications. I work cross-border and my colleagues are all foreigners. I used to panic when I quarreled with my colleagues. After all, English is not my mother tongue. Now I have ChatGPT as my "Gatling gun", with full firepower, and I am no longer afraid! Are you also worried that your English is not good enough and you may not speak politely when replying to others in an open source project? No problem. ChatGPT helped me generate a professional and watertight reply. My colleagues all liked it!

Finally, I would like to say that the fourth and most important scenario is the use of AI-assisted learning. When you usually read or read code, you always encounter situations where you don’t understand what you understand, right? This is the most painful moment when I look at a sentence and recognize every word and connect them together without knowing what it is saying. But now there is a sentence that the AI cannot understand and you can just ask it! This kind of interactive learning has greatly improved my reading limit, making it easy to learn English or read code.

So AI is really an artifact for programmers! It not only improves our productivity but also allows us to deal with various challenges more easily. If you haven’t tried using AI to assist work and study, you really need to hurry up! The mainstream of the future is interactive learning and working with AI. Are you ready?
