Everything starts in March 2021. After noticing the struggle of e-commerce sellers with product photography, they decided to create a tool that would simplify the process. Blending came into being. It uses AI technology to automatically delete backgrounds and select the best background to create excellent visual effects for users.
“We provide photo-like content to entrepreneurs around the world without a huge investment,” the founders share. Today, blend has become the top three design applications in Southeast Asia and Latin America, and continues to grow at a rate of more than 30% per month.
So, how did they come up with this idea? “Honestly, we didn’t think much about it before we decided to start this business,” the founder admitted. But once they had the idea, they pursued it bravely and found experienced people to help make it happen.
The birth of blend was not smooth sailing. During the initial phase, they identified a major challenge faced by users: removing the background from product photos and replacing it with a uniform color. So, they decided to focus on this core functionality, making it simple yet effective.
Unlike typical entrepreneurial stories, blend’s start-up costs are extremely low and there is no clear revenue target. They focus on creating a tool that resonates with users and meets their needs. By reaching out to potential users, building a sense of community, and gathering feedback through Facebook and WhatsApp groups, they gradually built a great product.
In the process of starting a business, they also learned many valuable experiences. The first is the spirit of never giving up: "If you have an idea, go for it. If you don't do something, you will regret it." The second is the importance of going deep into users and paying attention to the problem itself: "As long as we pay attention to the problem and By engaging our users, we can continue to iterate and come up with better solutions.”
Today, blend has achieved impressive results. They acquire users and maintain growth through a variety of strategies including organic traffic, word-of-mouth marketing, SEO, and advertising. At the same time, they also actively cooperate with influencers in e-commerce marketing and graphic design to promote applications and expand their influence.
